CPR & First Aid Requirements in Missouri
Missouri requires all high school students to receive hands-only CPR training and AED instruction before graduation under RSMo 170.310, enacted in 2017. Healthcare providers and EMS professionals must maintain Healthcare Provider level BLS/CPR certification through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The state also requires businesses, schools, and public venues to have AEDs on-site. Childcare centers, gyms, swimming pools, and community centers commonly require staff CPR certification. Both the American Red Cross and American Heart Association are accepted certification providers, with standard two-year renewal periods.
