CPR & First Aid Requirements in Kansas
Kansas requires all licensed childcare providers to maintain current pediatric First Aid and CPR certification that includes a practical application component demonstrated in front of a nationally certified instructor. Home-based providers must complete training within 30 days of submitting their application, while center-based staff must certify within 30 days of employment or before being given sole responsibility for children. At least one CPR-certified provider must be present during all operating hours. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted with standard two-year renewal periods.
