CPR & First Aid Requirements in Colorado

Colorado requires at least one staff member certified in First Aid and CPR to be present during all school hours, field trips, athletic events, and after-school activities. Childcare providers must obtain Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification with hands-on skill evaluation within 30 days of employment. Notably, all actively licensed chiropractors in Colorado must maintain Health Provider Level CPR certification. EMS professionals require Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted, with standard two-year renewal periods.
