CPR Certification in New Mexico
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, New Mexico has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.

CPR & First Aid Requirements in New Mexico
New Mexico has required CPR training for high school graduation since 2015-2016. The New Mexico Department of Health requires EMS professionals to maintain Healthcare Provider level CPR certification with a practical skills component. Dentists and dental assistants must hold BLS-level CPR certification with hands-on evaluation. The requirement extends to childcare professionals, coaches, social workers, and fitness trainers. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted, with standard two-year recertification required across all professions.
