CPR & First Aid Requirements in Utah

Utah has required CPR training for high school graduation since the 2015-2016 school year, with students learning CPR techniques and AED use in their 10th grade Health class. All childcare providers must maintain pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, ensuring at least one certified staff member is present at all times. Coaches must hold infant, child, and adult CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. Notably, 100% online CPR courses are not accepted by Utah's state licensing department for EMS or continuing education credits. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted.
