CPR Certification in Kentucky

CPR & First Aid Requirements in Kentucky
Kentucky requires CPR training as part of high school health education and mandates that all coaches maintain CPR/AED certification. The state also uniquely requires all 911 telecommunicators to be trained in telephone CPR (T-CPR) following American Heart Association guidelines, ensuring dispatchers can guide callers through CPR in emergencies. Teachers must maintain Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, and childcare providers must hold current certification through the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted.
