CPR Certification in Indiana
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Indiana has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
CPR & First Aid Requirements in Indiana
Indiana has some of the strongest CPR requirements for educators in the country. State law mandates that all current Indiana educators provide proof of valid CPR, AED, and Heimlich certification at every license renewal, conversion, and professionalization application. Childcare providers must complete pediatric CPR training within 90 days of employment, and all certifications must include a live return demonstration of skills. At least one certified individual must be present at all times when children are in care. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted statewide.
