CPR Certification in Ohio
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Ohio has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
CPR & First Aid Requirements in Ohio
Ohio has required all public school students to receive CPR and AED training before graduation since the 2017-2018 school year. While CPR certification is not mandatory for all K-12 teachers across the state, all coaches must maintain current certification, and individual school districts may set their own requirements. Healthcare workers, 911 dispatchers, childcare workers, and fitness instructors are also required to be CPR certified. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted, with standard two-year renewal periods.
