CPR & First Aid Requirements in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania mandates biennial CPR certification for dental professionals including dentists, dental hygienists, and expanded function dental assistants as a condition of license renewal. Childcare personnel must maintain pediatric CPR and First Aid certification through the Department of Human Services. Personal care homes must ensure at least one CPR-certified employee per 50 residents is present at all times. The Department of Health requires all CPR training to include both theory and hands-on components with an in-person skills evaluation, even for blended online courses. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted.
