CPR & First Aid Requirements in Delaware

Delaware requires all public high school students to receive training in CPR and AED use before graduation. Licensed childcare workers must hold current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification with a hands-on component. Notably, all therapeutically-licensed optometrists must maintain current CPR certifications for both children and adults throughout their entire licensure period. EMS professionals require Healthcare Provider level BLS certification. Both American Red Cross and American Heart Association certifications are accepted, with standard two-year renewal periods.
