CPR & First Aid Requirements in North Carolina
North Carolina has required CPR training for high school graduation since 2014-2015. The state requires teachers, physical education instructors, and youth sports coaches to maintain CPR certification, and all licensed childcare facilities must employ staff with valid pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification. The Division of Child Development and Early Education mandates that CPR and First Aid training be renewed on or before the expiration date. EMS professionals require Healthcare Provider level BLS.
