CPR & First Aid Requirements in South Carolina
South Carolina has required CPR training for high school graduation since the 2017-2018 school year. Beginning January 2025, all 911 telecommunicators dispatching for medical emergencies must be trained in nationally recognized telecommunicator CPR, joining a growing number of states mandating dispatcher CPR training. Dentists and dental hygienists must complete an approved CPR course every two years. Educational staff, coaches, and childcare workers are also expected to maintain current certification. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted statewide.
