CPR Certification in Oregon
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Oregon has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
CPR & First Aid Requirements in Oregon
Oregon requires all childcare staff to complete First Aid and Infant/Child CPR training within 90 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment, as mandated by the Department of Early Learning and Care. The state has strict format requirements: CPR training must include in-person instructor-led practice and assessment, and purely online courses are not accepted, though blended courses combining online learning with hands-on instruction may qualify. Teacher CPR requirements are set by individual school districts. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted with two-year renewal periods.
