CPR & First Aid Requirements in Mississippi
Mississippi has some of the most distinctive CPR requirements in the nation. All licensed gaming establishments must have CPR, First Aid, and AED-trained personnel on staff 24 hours a day. Every dentist, dental hygienist, and auxiliary personnel involved in direct patient care must maintain current CPR certification. Childcare regulations specifically prohibit online-only CPR training. Since 2024, public schools must maintain a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan with trained staff on site, and CPR training has been a high school graduation requirement since 2015-2016. Both AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted.
