CPR Certification in Connecticut
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Connecticut has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.

CPR & First Aid Requirements in Connecticut
Connecticut requires at least one staff member with current CPR certification to be on-site at all times during licensed childcare center operation, as mandated by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. Childcare providers must maintain Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid certification with a hands-on skills component. Coaching permits require annual CPR certification and first aid course completion every three years. While K-12 teacher CPR requirements are set by individual school districts, healthcare and EMS professionals must maintain standard certifications. Both AHA and Red Cross are accepted providers.
