Finding CPR requirements for your profession
Use the CPR requirements tool to find out exactly what certification your job requires.
Different jobs require different types of CPR certification. A nurse needs a different cert than a teacher or a lifeguard. The DoCPR.com requirements tool helps you find exactly what your profession requires — so you get the right cert the first time.
How to find your profession's CPR requirement
- 1Go to https://app.docpr.com/cpr-requirements.
- 2Browse by category (Healthcare, Education, Childcare, Fitness, Public Safety, etc.) or use the search box.
- 3Click your profession.
- 4The page will show the exact cert type required, renewal schedule, and whether hands-on training is needed.
- 5Click "Find a Class Near You" to see available classes that meet your requirement.
💡
Tip: Not sure which profession fits your role? Try the "What Do I Need?" wizard at https://app.docpr.com/cpr-requirements/check. It asks a few questions and gives you a personalized recommendation.
ℹ️
Note: Requirements may vary by state or employer. The tool shows national standards and common state rules. Always confirm the exact requirement with your employer or licensing board.
