CPR Certification in Alaska
Whether you need CPR certification for your job, to meet school requirements, or for personal preparedness, Alaska has accredited training centers offering American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and ASHI classes. Most classes include hands-on skills practice and take between 2–6 hours to complete. Certifications are typically valid for two years.
CPR & First Aid Requirements in Alaska
Alaska requires healthcare providers, EMS professionals, and nurses to maintain current CPR certification per the Department of Health and Social Services. Licensed childcare facilities must also maintain staff CPR certifications. While Alaska does not currently require CPR training for high school graduation, individual school districts may set their own requirements for teachers and coaches. The state follows AHA and American Red Cross guidelines, and both organizations' certifications are accepted. Standard two-year renewal periods apply across all professions.
