What is a blended class?
Blended classes combine online pre-work with an in-person skills session.
A blended class has two parts: an online course you complete at home, and a shorter in-person skills session.
Part 1: Online pre-work
Before your class day, you will complete an online course. This covers the knowledge portion — things like how CPR works, when to use an AED, and how to recognize an emergency. It takes about 1–2 hours and you can do it at your own pace.
Part 2: In-person skills session
At the class location, you will practice the physical skills on a manikin with an instructor. This part is usually shorter than a traditional class — about 1 hour.
⚠️
Important: You must complete the online course BEFORE your in-person session. If you arrive without completing it, you may not be able to participate.
How to get started
- 1After registering, check your confirmation email for a link to your online course.
- 2Log in to https://app.docpr.com/portal and click on My Classes.
- 3Click Start Online Course next to your class.
- 4Complete all sections of the course. Your progress saves automatically.
- 5Attend your in-person skills session on the scheduled date.
💡
Tip: Your online course progress saves every 30 seconds. You can stop and pick up where you left off any time.
