Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS) is the gold-standard CPR certification for healthcare professionals, required by nearly every hospital, clinic, dental office, and EMS agency. The American Red Cross BLS program (r.25) aligns with the latest 2025 ILCOR/AHA Consensus on Science guidelines and teaches the skills needed to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants. The blended learning format combines 2 hours of self-paced online coursework with a 1.5-hour instructor-led skills session. The online portion covers the science of CPR, the cardiac chain of survival, and ILCOR-aligned protocols. The in-person session focuses on hands-on skills practice: high-quality chest compressions, bag-valve-mask ventilation, two-rescuer CPR, AED use, team dynamics, and relief of choking in all age groups. Upon successful completion, you receive an American Red Cross BLS certification valid for two years. The course also awards 0.5 CEUs / 4.5 contact hours accredited by IACET.
