CPR/AED + First Aid

This American Red Cross certification is the most widely required first aid and CPR course for non-healthcare settings. It is required for childcare licensing in most U.S. states, meets OSHA first aid training guidelines, and is accepted by schools, camps, youth sports organizations, and employers across industries. The blended learning format combines 2.5 hours of self-paced online coursework with a focused 1-hour instructor-led skills session. The online portion covers the Emergency Action Steps, recognizing cardiac arrest and sudden illness, the cardiac chain of survival, and first aid fundamentals. The in-person skills session covers adult, child, and infant CPR; AED use; two-person CPR; relief of choking in all age groups; bleeding control; and selected first aid skills. First Aid coverage includes: cuts and wounds, burns, sudden illness, head/neck/back injuries, heat and cold emergencies, and anaphylaxis. The full Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED cert is the standard; a CPR/AED-only option is available for those whose organization only requires the CPR component. Certification is issued by the American Red Cross and is valid for two years.
